Udlivery ("we," "us," or "our") operates a campus-focused delivery platform that connects university students who need items delivered with student delivery partners ("Udliverers"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
By using Udlivery, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, university email address, phone number, university affiliation, student verification details, profile photo (optional), and account credentials. Udliverers additionally provide payout preferences and government-issued identification for verification purposes.
Location Information
We collect precise and approximate location data when you use the app to place or fulfill deliveries. This includes pickup locations, delivery destinations, and real-time GPS coordinates during active deliveries. Location data is essential for matching orders with nearby Udliverers and providing delivery tracking.
Delivery Information
We collect details about your orders including item descriptions, special instructions, delivery notes, photos of packages or kiosk tickets, order history, delivery timestamps, ratings, and feedback you provide about orders or Udliverers.
Payment Information
Payment card details and bank account information are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We retain transaction records including amounts, dates, delivery fees, tips, and payout history.
Analytics and Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with our app and website, including pages viewed, features used, search queries, session duration, crash reports, and performance data. This helps us improve our services and fix technical issues.
Device Information
We collect device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, IP address, browser type, and push notification tokens to deliver notifications and ensure app compatibility.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, operate, and maintain the Udlivery platform • Process and fulfill delivery orders • Match customers with available Udliverers • Process payments and facilitate payouts to Udliverers • Send order confirmations, delivery updates, and service notifications • Verify student enrollment and identity • Improve our app, website, and user experience • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service • Respond to customer support requests • Send promotional communications (with your consent, where required)
Sharing Your Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
• Between Users: When you place an order, limited information (first name, delivery location, order details) is shared with the assigned Udliverer. Udliverers' first names and ratings are visible to customers.
• Service Providers: We share data with third parties who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, cloud hosting, analytics, customer support tools, and identity verification.
• University Partners: With your university's consent, we may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable usage data for campus planning purposes.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Udlivery, our users, or others.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Order and transaction records are retained for seven years for tax and legal compliance. Location data from completed deliveries is anonymized after 90 days.
When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.
